​Geography

Las Terenas is located on the Samaná peninsula, northwest of the Dominican Republic,. It is a tourist coastal community lying between mountains and stunning beaches with long-line  palm trees such as Playa Bonita, Cosón.

​The city is the hometown of the native Dominican Republic, French, Italian , Swiss and the second home community of Americans and Canadians.

​Attractions & Activities

​Playa Coson: One of the most three charming beaches of the Samana Peninsula. It is about 10 minutes  driving from downtown of Las Terrenas. The shore is pristine with white sand, clear emerald water 

​Samana Bay: One of the most stunning bays in Dominican Republic, located in the northeastern Dominican Republic which is about 40  minute driving from Las Terrenas 

​Playa bonita: Another attractive beach lies on the same shore with Playa Coson with stunning beach view and spectacular turquoise water and palm trees.

​Activities: Boating, fishing, dune buggies, zip-line, whale watching, horse-riding are among the popular activities that you could join to explore the beauty of Las Terrenas and surrounding areas.

​EL CATEY international airport: Located about 15 minute away downtown Las Terrenas, connecting flights from many North American cities. Air Transit and Air Canada have almost daily direct flights from Toronto, Montreal to EL CATEY with one stop or non stop.
